The particular version we’ll use is the smallest one, which fits in 4 KB, with the rest of the 16 KB emulated RAM available for user programs and data. It’s famous because it was Microsoft’s first product (you may have heard of that company somewhere). We can take this code and pair it with Altair BASIC. There is a nice and clean emulation of the Intel 8080 microcomputer chip available – and as always it’s on GitHub.
